The four n patriarchs returned to their ns and called a n meeting. In the end, it was decided to dispatch a few people to infiltrate the Ground n and obtain information. In just a moment, four shadows flew out of the four n residences.
The four spies proceeded toward the middle city. The closer they got to the Ground n, the more their figures became simr to the surrounding scenery as if they hadpletely blended into it. Whenever they got close to something, their body would change color and appearance to blend with the object. Like that, the four of them reached the abandoned houses in the territory of Ground n and fused with the blue green tiles on the roof.
No one would be able to see them hidden there.
As time passed, the Ground n’s territory remained empty but for a group of children ying outside the colosseum. After some more time, a group of people d in old-fashioned outfits and holding some spirit fruits could be seen moving toward the households closest to the gate between the two regions.
The spies sent by the four ns were somewhat startled. Since the Ground n’s disciples were moving toward the houses of the branch family descendants who had yet t o leave, they had to be thinking of recruiting them.
Although the dispute between the Ground n created by the sixth ancestor and the four great ns was not irreconcble, the situation was not much better.
Sixth ancestor, who had be a ruler just recently, had partitioned the Asura City into two, which was how he divided his territory with the four great ns. The majority of branch family descendents previously residing in the territory of the Ground n had been forced to go to the n residences of the four great ns, but a few households did not agree to move and continued staying there.
When going to them, the clothes of the Ground n’s descendants were extremely old-fashioned and at first nce seemed to be borrowed from somewhere. On top of that, they were bringing spirit fruits, which were extremelymon outside Asura City so didn’t have any value.
The four spies crawled forward slowly, advancing toward the gate of the lower city. In the territory of the Ground n, they didn’t dare to reveal even a hint of their presence. Even if the Ground n was weak, when all was said and done, they still had a god. If the spies were discovered, they wouldn’t be able to return alive.
On the spacious and empty street, Rat and Old Bastard wearing old-fashioned clothes were walking toward the houses where people still resided. Behind the two of them, there was a group of Ground n’s descendants who were holding spirit fruits in their hands.
Old Batard touched the old clothes he was wearing and said with concern, “Rat, you said that we should go to them while wearing these clothes and holding spirit fruits, but it lookspletely ordinary. The branch family descendants of the four great ns will probably ridicule us.”
The old-fashioned clothes were fine clothing in his eyes though. They might not be in style anymore, but their material was good, they werefortable to wear, and felt top quality upon touch. In the eyes of the descendants of the four great ns, however, old-fashioned clothes should not be worn in public.
Rat lowered his head and looked at the clothes on his body, then said with a smile, “Unlikely. Just act properly. The Ground n was formed recently and we still haven’t found anyone who can supervise the weaving and knitting so we can only borrow these clothes from the colosseum. Lord said that we should use peaceful methods before using force.”
“Peaceful methods before force? What does that mean?” Old Bastard asked suspiciously.
“It means that we should pay a visit to them first and see if they can be recruited. If they can, then we should recruit them. If we cannot, then we must drive them away,”Rat said with a smile.
“What’s more, the Ground Kingdom is now the territory of the Ground n. Even if they don’t agree, we still have Lord. Given the presence of a respected god, the half gods wil probably be afraid.”
After those words, the two men smiled at each other. Without realizing it, they had already reached the first household.
Outside the house, the two of them looked at the beautifulrge gate and felt envious in their heart. Rat walked in front of the door and knocked on it.
“Ground n hase to pay a visit. We’ll have to trouble you to open the door.”
“Who is it?”
A melodious voice echoed from the other side of the door, then was followed by the sound of footsteps. With a ‘ng’, the door opened slightly and a head poked out from inside. It was a young girl wearing light muslin.
“Who are you all?” she asked curiously.
Her voice echoed in Rat and Old Bastard’s ears, and they felt that it was the sound of heaven. The two of them were slightly dazed, but a momentter, they remembered Lord’smand and instantly sobered up.
Rat looked at the girl whose eyes were like stars and said, “We are from Ground n and havee to find your house’s lord for a certain matter. I will have to trouble you to open the door.”
Hearing his words, the girl returned to behind therge door and opened it.
“Follow after me,” the girl said and led Rat’s group through a flowery garden until they reached the main hall.
A mature but still attractive madam was sitting there. She was covered from top to bottom, so only her two eyes could be seen. They were so enchanting anyone who saw them felt intoxicated.
The young girl said a few words in the madam’s ear. The woman then waved her hand indicating Rat’s group toe closer.
Rat and Old Bastard looked at the two women and felt somewhat helpless. They hadn’t expected that the first household they would arrive at would surprisingly belong to someone from Deva n. Those people were most proficient in using charming techniques and could catch a person’s heart at any movement, thus making them unable to make good decisions.
The two hade for negotiation, but if they weren’t careful, they would get charmed. What would they do then?
“The two of us are Ground n’s administrators. Madam should know that thend under your feet has be the territory of our Ground n. The sixth ancestor negotiated with the patriarchs of the four great ns, and it was decided that the descendants of the four ns will return to the n residences. Madam, you have remained here until now which is troublesome for us,”Rat said while looking at the ground.
After a long time, the madam sitting on the master seat slowly said, “Emissary, your words are slightly incorrect. Although I am a branch family descendant of Deva n, I have been residing in this house ever since I moved out. So why should we move just because something was negotiated between the sixth ancestor and the four n patriarchs?”
“Then madam means...” Rat said in a calm voice.
“Naturally I won’t move. We two, mother and daughter, have been residing in this house so far and have no conflict with your Ground n’s descendants. All of us should mind our own business and get along.”
When Rat heard Madam’s voice, his mind began to get dizzy. He clenched his teeth to stabilize himself, however, and said, “ording to the sixth ancestor’smand, we havee to talk this time. If the negotiations aren’t settled properly though, the one toe next time would not be us.”
The moment he said that, the madam’s expression turned chilly, and she erupted with the presence of ate stage sage flux expert, which she directed at Rat and his entourage.
