    A few momentster, the result came as a disappointment. Her tracking spell failed to pick up Di Fuyi’s aura in the carriage. Hence, she could safely assume that the Devil King in the carriage was not Di Fuyi.


    Overwhelmed by immense disappointment, she was dispirited and obviously uninterested in the rest of the troop. She took a turn and was ready to go back to the restaurant. Suddenly, she heard the sound of a crane. The loud call of the flying crane got everyone’s attention.


    “The princess is here!”


    “The princess is really here!”


    Gu Xijiu looked up and saw a flying crane soaring at great heights with its wings wide open. The celestial crane was three times as big as a normal crane. On its back, stood a youngdy in a white dress. It was a very graceful sight as they watched her dress dance in the wind around her slender figure. Slowly, the celestial crane made anding as it dived from the sky.


    Gu Xijiu was utterly surprised. A thin cloth covered the face of thedy in white, revealing only her bright, watery eyes. Like a cold river that was enshrouded in a fog, her mask had certainly added a great sense of mystery to her grace and beauty.


    Gu Xijiu was observant enough to notice that thedy was actually the woman she saw in Suiye City. She was the one who gave the Longevity Locket to the child. What she did not know back then was that thedy was actually the young princess of the Devil Kingdom. Could the Devil King be the mysterious man, who used the puppet string and gave the abuser a lesson?


    Before the celestial crane touched down, the princess leaped andnded gracefully in front of the carriage. “Brother, you are finally back.”


    The troop stopped progressing at this point. At the window, the curtain was pulled away, revealing the man that was sitting within. Finally, the people got to see the man in the carriage. They also got a glimpse of the interior of the vehicle.


    The interior was brilliantly decorated with a sense of luxury, but no amount of luxury wasparable to the aura of the man. Casually, the man sat leaning against his seat, covered in robes of fiery red. The robes looked ethereal, making him look as if he was sitting afloat on rolls of fluffy red clouds. His ink-ck hair was left undone, hanging loosely around his body. Meanwhile, a red crown piece was ced on his head, furtherplementing his pitch-ck hair and his fair-white skin.


    Like the rumors had said, he was currently wearing a butterfly-shaped mask, revealing only his bright eyes and perfect lips for general admiration. He held the curtain with one hand, so people could see his slender fingers and three jade rings that were exquisitely carved.


    Nonchntly, he sat in a rxed position. He looked just as charming as ever, even when he was casually sitting in the carriage. However, his aura was certainly very icy cold,pletely unapproachable. One quick look in his eye was able to make her flesh creep.


    Upon seeing the young princess, his stern face broke into a sense of delight as he said, “Yuan Yuan, I did not expect you to arrive before I did.”


    The princess gave him a cheerful smile before she answered, “Of course. I am excited to celebrate my birthday with you, brother. Have you got me a present?”


    “Surely. I will show you tomorrow,” the Devil King gave her a chuckle. His voice was very soothing, as rxing as the sound of flowing water gushing over rocks.


    “Why do you have to keep me guessing? You do know that I am quick-tempered,” the princess responded adorably.


    Delighted, the Devil King leaned against the wall of the carriage and teased, “Go ahead, then.”


    The princess stamped her foot lightly in protest. “Brother, you are bullying me again!”


    The Devil King gave her a tight smile before changing the topic. “Yuan Yuan, what have you done about the thing that I asked you to do?”


    “I destroyed it.”


    “Good; well done!”


    “Is there any reward for me? Let us unbox the present in advance, shall we?”


    The Devil King started tough. Hisugh was the most beautiful thing that the people had ever heard. He then let go of the curtain beforemanding, “All right, that is enough. You should leave now. As for the present, you will get it tomorrow.”
