    I, Nishiguchi Haruto, has been in an agricultural university for just about two years.


    At the university, I studied about cross-fertilization of flowers, intending to inherit my family’s flower shop in the future.


    I fondly spend each day being around my favorite flowers and kicking up a fuss with my friends – I can’t help hoping that this kind of life will go on forever.


    That is why I never expected such a sudden change. Not in the least.


    That day, I inadvertently fell asleep in the library and it has be pitch dark when I woke up.


    I put away the illustrated encyclopedia and textbooks then hastily left for home.


    When I went out of the library in a rush, my left foot sunk without warning, it’s as if the floor isn’t there at all.


    Just as I was astonished, my whole body sunk in the blink of an eye.


    I felt the sensation of falling but it was impossible for me to even let out my voice.


    I don’t know whether itsted for just ten seconds or an hour, but my body hit the ground eventually.


    “Ah, I may be dying.” is what I thought when I felt the excessive impact.


    Thest thing I sensed were the faint, sweet smell of flowers and the warm rays of the sun.
