Chapter 20: The Presentation Part 2

Michael knelt down and picked up the box that was resting by his feet. He opened it, revealing an A4-sized sr panel.

As soon as it was revealed, Benico''s eyes widened. It was not a conventional design of a sr panel. Michael''s sr panel was darker, more glossy, and sleeker than any panel Benico had seen before. Its surface seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it, giving it an almost ethereal quality.

Michael, noticing Benico''s surprise, smiled slightly. "This is the prototype of the sr panel I''ve been working on. It''s designed to maximize efficiency while minimizing space and weight."

Benico, still scrutinizing the panel, asked, "What materials did you use for this? It doesn''t look like typical silicon cells."

"That''s correct. This panel uses abination of advanced photovoltaic materials, including perovskite and graphene. The perovskiteyers are responsible for high light absorption and conversion efficiency, while the graphene adds durability and flexibility." @@novelbin@@

"Uhh..." Catherine nced at Benico, she didn''t understand a word that came out of Michael''s mouth. However—it seemed that Benico was also confused.

"While perovskite has shown promise in theb, its long-term stability under real-world conditions has been a concern. How have you addressed this?" Benico asked.

Michael nodded, acknowledging the concern. "Stability is indeed a challenge with perovskite cells. However, through extensive testing and iterative design, I have developed a stabilization process that significantly extends the panel''s lifespan. I have also incorporated a protectiveyer to shield the panel from environmental factors like moisture and temperature fluctuations."

Benico, impressed by Michael''s responses, suggested, "Let''s see how it performs. Do you have a setup for a demonstration?"

"Yes, I do," Michael replied. He proceeded to set up the panel in a well-lit area of the room, connecting it to a small inverter and a digital meter to showcase its power output.

As the setup waspleted, everyone in the room watched intently as the meter began to disy readings. The numbers on the meter climbed steadily, indicating a high power output, surpassing typical panels by a significant margin.

"I-Impossible," Benico eximed inwardly. He didn''t expect Michael to actually invent such a technology. However, there are more tests to be done.

"I have equipment here with me that will validate the efficiency of your sr panel. Do you mind?" Benico asked.

"Of course, sir, feel free to test it," Michael replied, eager to demonstrate the capabilities of his invention.

Benico retrieved a sophisticated testing kit from his bag, which included a spectral response analyzer and a quantum efficiency measurement system. These devices were designed to assess the panel''s ability to convert different wavelengths of light into electricity, a key determinant of its overall efficiency.

"First, we''ll measure the spectral response," Benico exined. He connected the analyzer to the panel and began the test. The device emitted light at various wavelengths, simting different sr conditions. The analyzer''s screen disyed real-time data, showing how the panel responded to each wavelength.

Michael watched closely as Benico interpreted the data. "The spectral response is quite remarkable," Benico noted. "Your panel shows high efficiency across a broad range of wavelengths, not just in the visible spectrum but also extending into the near-infrared."

"Next, we''ll measure the quantum efficiency," Benico continued, setting up the quantum efficiency measurement system. This test would reveal how efficiently the panel converted photons into electrons, a critical factor in determining its real-world performance.

As Benico conducted the test, the results were disyed on a connected monitor. The quantum efficiency curve was unusually high, maintaining a strong performance across a wide range of wavelengths.

While doing that, Catherine couldn''t help but pout cutely from the back. She doesn''t know what''s happening or what they are doing, but both of them look engrossed, understanding what they are actually doing.

Michael noticed her and shot a wink at her as if telling her that he was not joking about him inventing a sr panel. Though inventing is actually a wrong way to put it, because he had gotten the sr panel from the system, he just essed it and imed it was his.

On the other hand, Benico was having a thought of his own. The efficiency of the sr panel is as advertised by Michael. It has over 60 percent and if this was introduced to the global market where the main concern of all nations right now is sustainable renewable energy, Michael could make billions of dors of it and knock virtually every sr panel manufacturingpany out of the market. This technology could revolutionize the entire sr energy industry.

But a question popped up in his head. How did Michael do this? Or create it in the first ce?

"How did you create this?" Benico asked.

"Well, I''m afraid I cannot discuss how the sr panel was made or the machines needed to manufacture one," Michael replied carefully, aware of the importance of protecting his intellectual property. "But I can assure you that the technology and methods used are entirely unique and groundbreaking."

Benico, understanding the need for confidentiality in such matters, changed his line of questioning. "Have you patented this technology yet?"

Michael shook his head. "Not yet. However, I''m nning on patenting it soon."

"Michael..." Catherine cleared his throat, finally joining in the conversation. "Engineer Benico is actually an engineer working for one of the biggest sr energypanies in the Philippines. The Sr Dynamics Corporation. They''ve been at the forefront of sr energy development in the country."

"Oh...so you work already in a sr energypany huh?" Michael mused. "Well, all the more reason why I can''t tell you how I manufacture my sr panels."

"Michael...it would be in your best interest if you coborate with ourpany. You see, we are always on the lookout for innovative technologies in the sr energy sector."

"I appreciate the offer Mr. Benico but I refuse," Michael said. He wanted to make a name for himself, start apany from sr panels, and then use the profit from it to invest in other enterprises. Looking at the avable products in his system, it''s not impossible.

"Well, how about I bring this to our headquarters, your sr panel for further testing, and then help Ms. Ests make informed decisions?"

Michael contemted that suggestion. He knew further testing meant that Benico and his colleagues would conduct thorough and extensive experiments to reverse engineer the sr panel. However, Michael was confident that without the specific technology and knowledge from the system he had ess to, they wouldn''t be able to replicate it. The intricate design and unique materials used were beyond current manufacturing capabilities. So, he confidently agreed.

"Sure, you can take it for further testing," Michael said. "But I must insist on a confidentiality agreement. The details of the panel''s design and construction must remain proprietary."

Benico nodded in understanding. "That''s a reasonable request. We''ll ensure the confidentiality of your technology."

"Great," Michael replied, relieved that his invention was still protected. "Regarding production. I can manufacture up to 100 to 300 units per day, depending on size and specifications. Whether they''re formercial or industrial use, I can adapt the design ordingly."

"100 to 300 units per day? And can it be expanded? Can I see your setup?"

"I''m afraid I won''t be able to show you my setup. Maybe once I have a decent factory where I can ce them all, you''ll be able to see it."

"Oh...so that''s the purpose of the business n presentation," Benico hummed understandingly and then nced at Catherine. "Well, I can tell that this is going to be a difficult predicament for the Ests family."

"What do you mean by that?" Michael asked, tilting his head to the side.

"I''m afraid I cannot discuss that," Benico said firmly. "Anyways, I''m going to take my leave now. Michael, your invention it''s very impressive I must admit, but as I have said earlier, we need thorough testing. You know, there could be errors in the initial test. It''ll take about a week."

"I don''t mind, thank you for your time validating my technology, Sir Benico."

The two exchanged hands. After that, Michael helped Benico pack the sr panels before Benico took his leaves. The moment Benico left, Michael flickered his gaze back to Catherine.

    "So? How was my performance?"
